I have set up NC and uploaded files and folders. I have created users and groups, and assigned folders to groups. Users see the folders but no subfolders and files in those. They all show 0 KB. What else do I have to do?
Have you uploaded with nextcloud functions?
If not (linux like sftp) you must scan the files with occ.

What do you mean by uploaded with nextcloud functions? I installed Nextcloud on the server, then the desktop app on my computer, and let it synchronize. I also installed a couple of add-ons.
With nextcloud sync tool or nextcloud gui it should work. With copy or sftp to filesystem not. Sorry, if i could not help.

I have solved the problem now. The problem was that I first synchronized, then created the group folders.
