[Solved] Blank Page - First Time Running

Hi!

I’ve been trying to get my server together, but it’s though. I have made everything, created an admin with database and everything, but when I want to access the server, it gives me a blank page.

I run on Raspbian, 2TB HDD, Apache2, PHP7 and Nextcould 12.

I’ve looked around and it seems to be due to PHP7 not working correctly(?). I’ve tried to reinstall PHP and its modules, but to no avail.

I’m a novice when it comes to working in Linux environment. I will try my best to assist with additional information if needed.

What installation guide did you follow?
Could you please post the nextcloud.log (in NC data directory), the web server log and web server error log?

Let’s see if we can find some hints there.

I will update this for the next hour or so. I don’t know how to display it fancy (easy to read) on the forum, bear with me. Thanks.

The guide I followed was NextCloud on Pi 2/3 Start to finish Guide - Raspberry Pi Forums. I skip the part with the HDD because for some reason it just didn’t work for me and after investing much time trying to solve it, I moved on. The version of NextCloud in the guide is v.10 but I choose v.12 (note, the guide is from 2016).

Pardon my ignorance, but which is the web server log? Is it that of NC, or is it PHP / Apache?

EDIT: Is the Web Server Log the access.log?

Here we have it already. Please read about Memcache and APC. That is missing.

ummmm that should be solvable…

though i have a few questions.

  • have you heard of something called nextcloudpi, already? - it will definitly help you getting NC installed easy and with a sane and safe set-up.
  • aren’t here in the forum some nice how-to’s available about how to setup NC with a rp3? why do you rely upon external sources?
