Smbclient not instaleed

I encountered the following message in my external storage addon:

The application “smbclient” is absent, preventing the mounting of “SMB / CIFS” and “SMB / CIFS using OC login” options. To resolve this, kindly request your system administrator to carry out the installation.

I have already completed the installation on my server.
Furthermore, I performed a reboot, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else faced this problem or discovered a potential solution?

Are you trying to use SMB? If not, it’s not an error but an informational message.

As for SMB support in the Snap, apparently they’ve run into challenges over the years. It’s not natively supported, but some people have developed workarounds. Search the forum or here:

If neither of those paths are desirable, don’t use the snap. There are lots of other ways to deploy NC. :slight_smile:
