This app is great. However it slows down web user interface to almost double response time.
I created one folder under a dedicated none-personal user called “share”. That folder I shared with my admin group with full rights.
Then I now creates folders underneath that one and shares it with the corresponding groups. The only thing missing from this method compared to groupsfolders, is the quota. The effect is essentially the same for the end users. Now the web based user inteface loads twice as fast, and I use pure NC core functionality, so no missing access to groupfolders after an update, if the groupfolders app is not updated to support the NC version of my system yet.
A bonus is the files:scan now natively works without issues as well.
