Getting help
In order to help you as efficiently (and quickly!) as possible, please fill in as much of the below requested information as you can.
Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:
- Official documentation (searchable and regularly updated)
- How to topics and FAQs
- Forum search
(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).
Can’t share files in team-folders
The Basics
- Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
31.0.8
- Team-Folders version:
19.1.5
Summary of the issue you are facing:
Can’t share files in team-folders
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):
-
I created a team-folder and shared it with group 1
-
Group 1 is now seeing this folder
-
Group 1 creates file in this order
-
Group1 is sharing this file with another group
-
Group 2 doesn’t see the team-order or the file in it
However, I see that Group 1 has permission to share.
Am I doing something wrong, do I have to do it differently, or is that not how it’s supposed to be done? How can I do it differently without having to recreate and share all the folders as an administrator?
