Sharing a file with another?

Hi again,

I am writing because I am perplexed:(

I want to share a file or folder with someone. But, when I found some examples, you click on the details of a file/folder. You select share. There should be a field into which you place the name of the person and you select from there.

But, when looking at the share details of any of my files/folders, I get a notice saying: Resharing is not allowed

These all files that I created.

I need to add a couple more observations:

group folders: I can share them and the folders inside.

Document folder: created a document and it is not sharable.

files in main directory are unsharable as well.
