Shared links to files in team folders: Transfer ownership

Is there any way to to “transfer ownership” and keep shared links to files in team folders intact? A member has left the team and we need to inactivate the user account. In my understanding ownership of personal files can be transfered and the shared links stay intact.
But files in team folders never are in the ownership of the user, so ownership can not be transfered. But shared links for these files get invalid as soon as the user account is inactivated.
Is the feature really missing or are we missing something?

Do you use the (new) Nextcloud 31 release? In Nextcloud 31 you can activate in the admin sharing options index.php/settings/admin/sharing (Allow users to set custom share link tokens) the customisation of sharing names. Then you can set the old share name to a new file. If you use Nextcloud 30 or lower check the app Configurable Share Links.

I would have expected the files in team folders to continue to exist without the user and the shares to continue to function. I’ll have to try it out.

Thanks for the response. I will check the Configurable Share Links app for the time being.
The files in the teams folders indeed continue to exist but we had to learn that indeed the shares become invalid as soon as the user account is deactivated. It must not even be deleted.
