Shared folder leads to quota warning

Hello everyone,

I have a strange error regarding the quota. My users have a quota of 1 GB. I created a shared folder (already more than 11 GB) which is publically available. The folder is used to upload files for anyone via a link. However this folder contributes to the quota of all users on the server, even if they do not even see this folder and they get a quota exceeded warning, which really should not happen. Any ideas?

Not sure why that would be. But, you could try using a group folder instead, which has its own quota.

I found the cause of the problem. The behaviour is caused by the group quota app. After I deactivated the app everything is like it should be.
