Setting chunksize in the desktop client

Hello

I’ve a selfhosting Nextcloud Instance. For a long time now I’ve some proplems with uploading files larger than 20 MB using the desktip client. Is there a way to set the chunksize to 5 MB for example in the desktop configuration file?

You can use environment variables to change the chunksize:

It is already 5MB by default.

Something is up with the latest version of Desktop docs. There’s a more extensive section covering this topic that is supposed to be above that in a larger table. It’s in repository so I think it’s an RST formatting issue. The older published revisions have it - e.g.:

The Nextcloud Client reads a configuration file.  You can locate this configuration file as follows:

On Linux distributions:
        ``$HOME/.config/Nextcloud/nextcloud.cfg``

On Microsoft Windows systems:
        ``%APPDATA%\Nextcloud\nextcloud.cfg``

On macOS systems:
        ``$HOME/Library/Preferences/Nextcloud/nextcloud.cfg``


The configuration file contains settings using the Microsoft Windows .ini file
format. You can overwrite changes using the Nextcloud configuration dialog.

   file.  Incorrect settings can produce unintended results.
