Sending invites through Nextcloud Calendar

Nextcloud version: 15.0.6

Apache or nginx version : Apache 2.4.25

The issue you are facing:

I’m using Nextcloud’s calendar app (version 1.6.4), and when I add an attendee to an event, my expectation is that a invite mail will be sent to said attendee. This does not happen.

I think my first question would be, is my expectation correct? Is this the normal working of the app?
If it is, how can I troubleshoot this situation?

First of all you should double-check if Nextcloud is correctly configured to send email (Settings>Administration>Basic settings - Email Server). Once this has been done I would expect that email should be sent.

Thank you j-ed, you solved my problem.
There was a typo in my mail server address.
