Hello everyone,
I’m currently running Nextcloud 31.0.2 on a shared hosting plan with one.com, but I’ve been encountering issues when attempting to manually update to newer versions. The update process consistently fails, and I’m considering switching to a more suitable host.
Current Hosting Setup:
- PHP Version: 8.4.7
- Memory Limit: 1 GB
- Max Execution Time: 3600s
- Upload Max Size: 256 MB
- OPcache Revalidate Frequency: 2
- Extensions: Core, date, libxml, openssl, pcre, sqlite3, zlib, bcmath, bz2, calendar, ctype, curl, dba, dom, json, fileinfo, filter, gd, gettext, gmp, hash, iconv, intl, SPL, mbstring, session, standard, mysqlnd, mysqli, PDO, pdo_mysql, pdo_sqlite, Phar, posix, random, readline, Reflection, exif, SimpleXML, soap, sodium, sysvshm, tokenizer, xml, xmlreader, xmlwriter, xsl, zip, cgi-fcgi, hosting, imagick, imap, Zend OPcache
- Database: MySQL 10.6.20
- OS: Linux 6.8.0-51-generic x86_64
- CPU: Unknown
Use Case for Nextcloud:
- Contacts Server
- Calendar Server
- Cookbook App
- Notes App
- Passwords App
Given these requirements, would Oracle’s Free Tier (Ubuntu Server) be a good alternative? Or are there better hosting options available for a smooth Nextcloud experience?
Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
