Second RC of 30.0.1

The maintenance releases of 30.0.1 is postponed to next week, but today a second RC is now available on our download server.

As always, help with testing is very much welcome!

We updated our servers, did our tests, and the release candidates seem pretty decent. Still, give it a whirl and report back here so we’re even more sure that it’s good to go! If you notice anything out of order, please report back on the appropriate Github repository! :bowing_woman:

Wondering when ‘30’ will hit the Stable channel?

it already IS on stable release-channel because it’s considered stable.

30 is still in staged rollout, so maybe it’s not offered to you yet through the updater.

That is interesting because I am definitely on the stable channel but no sign of it yet - was offered and did upgrade to 29.0.8 a day or so ago but that’s where it sits as of now. I’ve never tampered with this aspect, always been on the stable channel. Bit of a puzzle then… I am the only admin.

See screen shot taken a few minutes ago:

You can switch to the beta channel, then you get the update and once you are on NC 30, you switch back to the stable channel. Then you get the release right now.

However, on a stable system, I’d rather stay another week on NC 29, and wait for the bugfix release 30.0.1 next week.

usually NC does the roll-out staged… so it could happen, that it’s still not fully available to everyone on the stable-channel.

But you can switch zo Beta-channel just for a short while and then see what you’ll be offered there. If you won’t get NC 30 offered you should check it’s technically/system requirements → System requirements — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation

Just updated my NC to RC2 and all is working like expected.

@rakekniven is this an impersonator of you, Mark? I don’t really know you like this

Thanks so much for this - though please release less updates. We want our systems to be stable and we’d prefer it if you released them when they were ready.
