I can’t find anywhere whether and how Talk Talks should be able to search for words in Talks. Which settings have to be made so that I can search talks for text fragments so that the occurrence is displayed to me.
Neither in the Web UI nor in the Talk app (for me under macOS) are results of occurring text fragments displayed.
I can’t find this either. I can use the unified search when using the browser and it does locate text inside messages but the highlighting is really hard to see (light grey) and disappears very quickly.
In the app the search at the top left appears to be useless.
From some of the stuff I read it looked like a newer version had solved this but after upgrading to the latest versions that were available to me this does not appear to be the case.
My issue is on the Windows version.
Guess I might have to try a different Release Channel.
After updating Nextcloud and the Talk app to the latest versions I am able to open the right sidebar and use the search field to search the currently selected conversation. Its a little convoluted but it does work. The Search on the left side is rather useless. I would have expected that the search field on the left would do the same thing but search through all conversations.
