I have seen similar things on recent versions. Could you try to hide the search overlay and see if the “big list” in the background was filtered accordingly?

Just an idea
Chris

You first need to click on ‘Your apps’ or one of the categories in the sidebar on the left and then start typing the name in the search bar, because, unfortunately, it won’t find any apps from the ‘Discover’ page (or the ‘App bundles’ page, for that matter).

If I remember correctly, this issue has existed ever since the ‘Discover’ page was introduced because, before that, ‘Your apps’ was the App Store’s start page.

BTW, do you know if this is a formally reported bug, @bb77?

I think it’s [Bug]: Search for app in App section not working in "Discover" section · Issue #45558 · nextcloud/server · GitHub
