Search engine with differents tags of photo

Hi there!

I’m using Nextcloud til some years now, i have my photos synced with the app souvenir. To find them back easly i usually add some tags. For exemple “Invoice” and “Car” in a picture of an invoice. I’ve just beeing surprised that when i typed “Invoice Car” on the general search of my nextcloud there is no result, and i expected to find this invoice photo!

Thanks for all the job done here and thanks for the community to make nextcloud alive.

mmh, that sounds very much like something I once implemented for nc 25 (see Files: Extend search to also cover tags by marcelklehr · Pull Request #26813 · nextcloud/server · GitHub ) not sure if it was thrown out again :thinking:

Especially, if you want to report an issue (like a found bug) for the corresponding developers to address, this is unfortunately not the right location: most devs will not likely stumble upon the issues in the forum. Such issues are better tracked on GitHub in the appropriate issue tracker. Probably, this is the issue tracker of the server but could be another one as well.

@marcelklehr I’m actually in NC 26, but searching for “invoice car” just give me no results actually. but if i put only “invoice” or only “car” the search engine find the tag. But ideally when i type “invoice car” i expected to find in first exactly the photos that is tagged in “invoice” and “car”.

@christianlupus the objective of my message was just to suggest to developpers here that something act wiredly for me. And i don’t really get how to be more precise.

  1. This is not really a issue, just a tool not working as expected, but i hope this suggestion might prove useful.
  2. hum… Just tested it.
  3. Search engine don’t find tags, as i explained.
  4. I expected to know if this point is actually known, and I hope to help move this issue forward.
