Resolved: Desktop app after update to 33.0.3 wouldn't sync on mac os 15.7

After updated to 33.0.3 nextcloud would start and show files to be synced status “0 of 177mb to be synced” and later “syncing changes” but nothing happenend.

Downgrade to 33.0.2, 33.0.1, 33.0.0 didnt help. Neither did upgrade of the OS to 26.4.1.

What resolved the issue was to close the nextcloud client (also the processes in the activity center) and to delete the .db file in the nextcloud folder and restart nextcloud. This rebuild the database, synced a couple of files. Everything seems to work fine now.

I am posting this as I could find thread for my issue. Maybe I can safe someone else hours of search with this thread.

Hey man I created an account just to say thanks. For me I had to close the client and its processes, delete the .db files, then reinstall but turning off Virtual Files. My issue was that anything uploaded by a separate device would not sync to my macbook but would sync to my iPad and iPhone. I think the developers broke something in 33.0.3 for Virtual Files because it was working flawlessly before the update. Now I have to revert back to classical sync for now so it’s eating up my internal storage on my Macbook but it’s a solution that works.
