The calendar entry of an appointment does not include a reminder.
Moreover, the one who makes an appointment receives an email reminder but not me.
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

In public site, under reminder (6th from top), set 24 hours

In calendar, set a standard reminder of 1 day
