Recognize not processing the queues

Hi,

I have the same problem like here: Recognize not processing the queue

“Face recognition: 1357 Queued files, Last classification: 9 hours ago, Scheduled background jobs: 1”

I don’t understand why it is 9 hours ago. It should run every 5 minutes, right?

It’s a bit sad that this app and the Photos app are so broken and don’t work out of the box. Is this due to the new Nextcloud version?

Thanks!

Hi @bunk4
Can you check the nextcloud log for errors?

I do not have any logs when I open “/settings/admin/logging” with “Debug” enabled. But Recognize is working. But only every 24 hours. And always around 4:30 AM for 1 hour or a bit more. Then it will stop again and start again in 24 hours.

This is not good for me, because the full classification will need so much days… I have 33.000 queued files now.

Mmh, that’s kind of unlikely.

And always around 4:30 AM for 1 hour or a bit more. Then it will stop again and start again in 24 hours.

You might have the maintenance window enabled in your nextcloud config.php. If it’s enabled recognize will stick to the maintenance window and only run classification during that time.

I can found the following in my config:

“‘maintenance_window_start’ => 2,”
and
“maintenance’ => false,”

Today the scan and classification was running from 4:30 to 7:30 am. Rough estimate. i don’t have the exact time

you can set 'maintenance_window_start’ => 100, to disable the maintenance window ( See Background jobs — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation )
