Recognize App with multiple users using Group Folders

Hi,
Just starting to use Nextcloud (26.0.3 as Snap) and using the latest Recognize.
The goal is to share photos between multiple family members, to that effect, pictures are stored in Group Folders with appropriate permissions.
Recognize seems to work fine for Faces but the problem is that it seems each user has its own cluster of pictures and they have to do the assignment of cluster to name.
Is any way that this process can be done in a collaborative way, so all users see the assignments made by the others?
Is there any way that this can be done from the Android Nextcloud App ?

thanks

That is exactly what i wanted to ask…

I would like this feature too.

Hey,
first time seeing this thread, sorry for the delay. Yeah, this is an open issue in the app. For privacy reasons other people cannot currently see your face assignments, which makes sharing pictures among family members hard, unfortunately.

Hello Marcel, I understand privacy concerns, but would it be possible that the admin can activate that feature or disable it? If it’s enable user could also decide if they want to use the face clusters of all users of the nextcloud or do it on there own?

I bevlieve there is a viable solution that was found, it only needs to be implemented. The latter part is slightly problematic, as Nextcloud GmbH is only committed to maintenance, not feature development of the app. So, that doesn’t mean this will never happen, but it might not be soon.
