Just realized that i have the same issue with my user on my instance.
Nextcloud 15.0.2 running with PHP 7.2.
Might be related to this issue: https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/10770
Not sure. If I access a file on “real” storage, ie. not in shared or external folder, that doesn’t show up after in recents either! And furthermore, recents is perfectly working for all other users.
problem persists in 15.0.4
