My raspberry pie with nextcloud on it shut off, i don’t know why, it was running fine for the last 3/4 months, I turn it on and get this mensage

Your data directory is invalid. Ensure that there is a file called “.occdata” in the root of the data directory Cannot create “data” directory. This can usually be fixed by giving the web server write access to the root directory.

Do you use an external disk with the data on it? Where is it mounted, is it mounted? If you can find the config/config.php file in the main Nextcloud folder, it should point to the storage location.

It is most likely that your external drive is not mounted any more (USB connection temporarily lost, system restarted and external disk not mounted by default, external disk has problems/needs to be checked, … there is a number of reasons to get there.

If you can mount the storage again, this can be enough. But we need more details.
