Query about displaying user activity

Hi,

I just installed nextcloud with the ubuntu snap package. I am an administrator of the platform but in the “activity” section I cannot see the activity of the other users. Do I have to configure something specific in the platform to be able to see this activity?

Thanks

hey @dfernandez

so this is a fresh install?
the default config will show activities:

check if cron is running:

and your default settings in the admin section:

Hi!!! thank you very much for your response

It is a new installation. From what I have seen, I have a concept problem.

That is to say, in my case (as administrator) I need to be able to visualize those people who are accessing the platform and to know the files they are viewing or downloading.

I need this information to analyze that they do not misuse it (since there is compromised information).

For that reason, I would like to know if there is a way / extension that allows me to see this kind of information.

Thanks

not that i know of, i guess that would compromise data protection?

Yes, I understand. My idea was to operate as the Alfresco platform does. This platform allows the administrator to have visibility of this type of information to be able to take certain actions. But from what I see, from this platform it is not feasible.

yeah, that’s a document management platform, Nextcloud is a sharing platform…

Not sure if DMS has valid definition about monitoring of users.

Nextcloud has a strong focus on data protection, including that of its users.
