Problems with iPhone Nextcloud Calendar/Address Book on LAN after switching the Nginx Proxy Manager

Dear Nextcloud Community,

After switching the Nginx Proxy Manager from a Docker container to an LXC container (Proxmox), I’m experiencing an issue where appointments and contacts I create, update, or delete on my iPhone are not syncing to Nextcloud. The Nextcloud Calendar and Address Book are mounted on my iPhone using CalDAV and CardAV, respectively.

This problem occurs when the iPhone is connected to my home Wi-Fi network. If I disable Wi-Fi on the phone or am outside my local network, the changes to the Nextcloud Address Book and Calendar work correctly.

I didn’t have this problem when Nextcloud and Nginx were running together as a Docker container, which was a separate, shared LXC container on Proxmox.

What am I doing wrong with the Nextcloud or network settings? What changes do I need to make so that my iPhone can access the address book and contacts again when connected to Wi-Fi?

When I use Thunderbird on my local network, I don’t have this problem. I can change addresses and contacts there, and they are automatically updated in Nextcloud.

If I enter my public Nextcloud DNS name in the advanced network settings of my Fritz!Box under DNS rebinding protection, I immediately stop seeing Nextcloud tasks in Home Assistant. If I remove the DNS entry from DNS rebinding protection, the Nextcloud tasks become visible again.

The Basics:

Nextcloud Server version: 34.0.1
Operating system and version: Proxmox, Debian 13 Docker LXC for Nextcloud-Container, Debian 13 LXC for NGINX
Reverse proxy and Version: nginx 2.15.1
Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? Yes
When did this problem seem to first start? 30 days
Installation method: Docker Image (linuxserver/nextcloud:latest)
Are you using CloudfIare, mod_security, or similar? No
Router: FritzBox 7690 (FritzOs 8.22)

Hello everyone,
does no one have an idea? I suspect that the error can be found in the NGNIX or in my network settings of the Proxmox.

Best regards
Jan
