Problem with starting context_chat_backend in Nextcloud AIO – 0% Deploying and container not created

Hello,

I am having an issue with starting the context_chat_backend in my Nextcloud AIO 12.7.0 Beta installation. I am running Ubuntu 24.04.3 with 16 GB RAM and 12 threads CPU. When I try to start Nextcloud Assistant Context Chat (version 5.2.1), I see that context_chat_backend (version 5.2.0) is stuck at “Deploying” and remains at 0% for over half an hour, meaning the Docker container is not being created.

Details:

  • Nextcloud Assistant Context Chat 5.2.1 is enabled and running in the GUI.

  • Context Chat Backend 5.2.0 is stuck at “0% Deploying” for an extended period of time.

  • I have correctly set up the Docker Socket Proxy, but the context_chat_backend container is not being created.

  • Other apps like Assistant Talk Bot and Context Chat work without issues.

Steps I have taken:

  1. I have activated Nextcloud Assistant Context Chat 5.2.1, which should automatically start context_chat_backend 5.2.0.

  2. However, Context Chat Backend 5.2.0 does not show up as a running container in Docker.

  3. The GUI shows the status as “0% Deploying” for a long time, but nothing changes.

  4. I tried restarting the apps and waited longer, but the container is still not created.

Request for help:

I would like to ask what the correct procedure is for deploying context_chat_backend? Why is the container not activating even though the Nextcloud Assistant Context Chat 5.2.1 app is running? What could be the reason that the deployment is stuck at 0% and the container is not created?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or information that could help resolve this issue.
