Although in the config.php it was ‘htaccess.RewriteBase’ => ‘/’
could not disappear index.php
I then ran this command and it was updated and resolved:
sudo -u www-root php /var/www/html/nextcloud/occ maintenance:update:htaccess
.htaccess has been updated
