Possibility to prioritize the server for sync clients?

Nextcloud version: 19.0.10
Operating system and version: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Apache or nginx version : Apache 2.4.41
PHP version: 7.4.3

The issue you are facing:

I have 10 clients (Windows 10) with the Nextcloud client installed. All of them are synchronized with Nextcloud. However, one device is offline for a longer time (for example: more than one month). During the time the device is offline, several files are deleted from Nextcloud because the cloud is being cleaned up. As soon as the device that has been offline goes online again, the device synchronizes the files that have already been deleted.

Is it possible to work around this problem by prioritizing the server? Maybe through a Nextcloud or a PHP/Apache setting?

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error?: No

In theory the client propagates the deletions to all the clients. Not sure if there is a time limit for that and how this is detected. That’s probably an issue for the bug tracker.

However, NC19 is out of support! So it would be good to verify with current client/server versions.
