Pop-up and Audio calendar reminders aren't working in Chrome or Firefox

Greetings!

I am running Nextcloud 12.0.5 on an Ubuntu 16.04 server, which seems to work great except for Calendar notifications.

Using Chrome 64.0.3282.119 on Debian Linux, I…

  • enabled pop-ups for my domain

  • enabled notifications for my domain

  • created a new event for 5:00 pm today in the Calendar app

  • set an audio reminder for 5 minutes before the event

  • set a pop-up reminder for 5 minutes before the event

  • saved the new event

I do not receive an audio notification, and I do not receive a pop-up. I have double-checked that notifications and pop-ups are allowed for this part of my domain in Chrome. I even quit Chrome and re-started it and still no notifications.

Any suggestions or hints would be welcome. :slight_smile:

In my day to day work, I absolutely need some sort of notification from my calendar system, so Nextcloud isn’t going to work for me right now. Hopefully when I try it again someday, it’ll have this feature. :+1:
