Polotno integration into nextcloud… Seems a good candidate for canva-like funcionality into nextcloud , would it be feasible? What would be needed in general terms?

You mean https://studio.polotno.com/? At least according to the sources it is released under MIT thus releasing under AGPL (as required for NC apps) the combined app should be okay.
I have not check how one could integrate the app into the Nextcloud server ui. That might be doable somehow.
I see the bigger question: why would one do it? What data is stored permanently? How is this stored? In a DB or as files? Can this be altered programmatically?
Yes, I meant studio.polotno.com , GitHub - polotno-project/polotno-studio: Free online Design Editor. , exactly! They have a cloud storage option/integration GitHub - polotno-project/polotno-puter: Polotno Studio + Puter integration .
I don’t know if I understood well your remarks about ‘the bigger question’.
But whay interests me and seems to me the general interest about tools like canva or polotno is the combination of 3 ‘elements/direct tools’ in one visually integrated tool/workflow:
The result diagram , be it in editable or image/pdf form, could be stored in Nextcloud.
As I see it, in NextCloud we have options for the first of the elements , like draw.io / https://app.diagrams.net/ integration or Collabora/LibreOffice Draw . (Actually, in terms of live collaboration/editing, these are probably much greater than, say, canva or polotno-studio)
Draw.io offers some templates/models, but, in this context, with a rather narrow focus on UML / complex diagrams . I never found any sizeable template repo for libreoffice-draw.
In any case, for the occasional or common overloaded small collective trying to both construct and communicate, an ‘in-house’ 3-direct-tools-combo could make using nextcloud appeal even more.
My experience in this kind of groups (be it voluntary or at an office) has been that async with that combo can be more effective than live editing a 1-leg direct tool as the ones available.
