Polls 8 is nearly finished and the RC2 got just released.
For the last polish and possibly support by finding some left over minor bugs we need feedback.
The app got under a complete overwork since nearly 9 months starting with the migration to vue3 and typescript and ending in a pack of new features and UI updates.
The changelog in brief:
- New dialog for creation of datetime options in date polls
- create sequences directly when adding new date options
- Automatically set all added options to yes when adding options
- New enhanced anonymous mode where the anonymous setting is locked even for the owner
- Restricted poll owners definable by admins, where the owners have limited functionality
- Redesign of poll lists, leaner and less overloaded poll list
- Auto delete archived polls after configurable days
- Configuration for using the Nextcloud default footer in public polls
- Delete polls without the need to archive them first
- Collapsible poll description (collapse huge descriptions to put the voting into the focus)
- Transfer polls to other users of the site
- Link previews and smart picker, i.e. for linking a poll inside talk or other supporting apps
- Confidential comments for comments only visible by the author and the poll owner
- A new background live update worker (activate long polling and get instant updates)
- Lots of UI updates and enhancements
- minor performance enhancements
Also a lot of bugs are fixed and the code got a lot of tidy and maintenance

The final release will follow the release of vue-nextcloud (the nextcloud vue-library) which is also close to a fresh vue3 supporting release.
