Picture size increases after modifying

Hi, I am facing the issue that when I change something on a JPG (cut the picture) the size increases a lot (almost double the size). The orignal resolution is 72dbi - after the change it is 94dpi. Is this a config I can change this?

Same thing with .png. Cropping images slightly increases their size.

System shows the dpi when saving the picuter but the user has to change it manually to 72dpi. Will create an incident
