Personalized message on dashboard

Hi team,
I have a quick question: I would like to personalized a message on a widget on the dashboard for all users (before they can personalized it with widgets they would like to use).

Is there a way to create a file (html for example?) which could be displayed there?

Thanks, in version 30.0.3, I don’t see Settings > Administration > Theming > Welcome widget or I don’t have Welcome widget…

I have not tested it myself, but additional Dashboard widgets need to be installed via the App Store, just like any other additional app. Did you do that?

Indeed, I just active “Welcome app”. Trying to figure out now where to store my markdown file in Nextcloud to be able to use it

I’ve just tested it, and I’d say anywhere you want, respectively there’s a button in Settings > Administration > Theming > Welcome widget that lets you browse the file system of your Admin user and select any Markdown file you want.

For testing I choose the default Readme.md which then looks as follows in the dashboard:

Indeed, you sent the message above just after I found myself:

• Activate “Welcome” app
• Add new file, edit/create the new file (with Text app)
• Settings, etc.
