Password-protected PDF files will not be synchronized

Nextcloud version: 25.0.3.2
Nextcloud Pi version: 1.52.0
Nextcloud Desktop Client version: 3.10.1
Operating system and version: Debian GNU/Linux 11. 5.15.61-v8+ (aarch64)
Windows OS for Client: 10.0.19045

ISSUE

  1. Whenever I save a password-protected PDF file into a NC-synchronized folder on my Windows comuter, I get error messages about NC not being able to synchronize (upload).
  2. When I store a password-protected file directly on in any folder on the server side (e.g. using the WEB interface or an API), the file appears on the server (as normal). On the Windows desktop client I get an error message, saying “403 forbidden”. So, the existing file will not be downloaded to the client.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): NO

Steps to replicate it:

  1. create a PDF file and password-protect it
  2. save the protected file into a NC-synchronized folder
  3. watch the error messages pop up

The output of your Nextcloud log in Admin > Logging:

sorry. dunno how to access the log files on the Windows client

The output of your config.php file in /path/to/nextcloud (make sure you remove any identifiable information!):

doesn't seem to be relevant, here

The output of your Apache/nginx/system log in /var/log/____:

doesn't seem to be relevant, here

As I have not found any setting which could cause this behavior, I guess, the issue must be with the combination of versions and inside the NC desktop application.

I have exactly the same issue, reported here:

Is there no solution for this issue?
