Owncloud Linux Client and atime in fstab

Hey all!

I’m new to NextCloud. I’m using the latest (v2.2.3) owncloud client with my v10.0 NextCloud implementation. In order to protect my SSD drive on my Linux laptop, I have selected “noatime” and “nodiratime” in /etc/fstab. My question is: does the OwnCloud client use these timestamps to determine when a file has changed? If so, then I probably need to re-enable those in order to make things work properly.

Can anyone enlighten me here?

Thanks!

Steve

I use noatime on my /home and the ownCloud client notices changes and syncs just fine.

Edit: I just tested it, by changing a text file. The ownCloud client noticed it right away and synced it.
