Organization Chart from system generated users

I am setting up NC for a small club, creating users inside NC, and not from an external LDAP or DAV.

I would like to have the organization chart display who performs which roles, but when I go to edit a contact, it’s read only, and the organization chart doesn’t populate.

Am I supposed to create contacts in the contacts app, who then become NC users?

Hi, the user can set the role in their user profile. This settings is then synced to the address book. In addition you may have to set the manager field in the user management.

Can you send me a screenshot of what this would look like?

I edited my roles, and that does show up if I click on the user. I still can’t get the org chart to populate though. I don’t have permission to edit my own contact because it’s a system generated contact.

Click on your avatar in the upper right and select settings.

So, a normal user would have to click through all of the users to find someone with the role they are looking for:

A normal user can see all public teams:

But clicking on a team that I’m not a member of doesn’t show me the members of that team:

I would like to know who is on a team, so I can contact that person.

I still can’t get the org chart to populate though.

There’s a column “Manager” in the user management to define the line manager. I assume the chart should populate if you do so.
