I’m merging companies, and am currently using WooCommerce for order management, but will not be needing WooCommerce in the future. I use Nextcloud Decks to manage development, but also need something to manage orders as they come in.
What are other people using for tracking orders in Nextcloud?
I’m thinking of a default template to create a card in Deck, then the rest of the workflow seems intuitive. I suppose I could create a card via the API, maybe even triggered from WooCommerce.
I’m not aware of any such app or plugin for Nextcloud, and to be honest, I doubt it would make much sense to use Nextcloud for this use case.
After all, Nextcloud is a file sharing, groupware and collaboration platform, similar to Google Workspaces or M365, not a CMS where a plugin like WooCommerce might make some sense, I guess.
Furthermore, Nextcloud is not an e-commerce platform either. So Nextcloud won’t be able to replace WeeCommerce for WordPress, or WordPress for that matter, if that’s your plan. It may be possible to somehow make Nextcloud interact with an existing solution, but Nextcloud itself will not be able to replace a dedictaed e-commerce solution.
Yeah, I’m not taking orders with Nextcloud. The other office will be handling that. I just need to track progress of a widget that’s being assembled, and eventually ship it.
I’m not sure, and maybe others here have more ideas, but maybe this could be accomplished with Flow: Flow - Apps - App Store - Nextcloud
