Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): the most recent
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Linux Mint 21.3
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): CasaOS 0.4.4
PHP version (eg, 7.4): latest

The issue you are facing: ONLYOffice cannot create new or open existing documents

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): No

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Install CasaOS
  2. Install NextCloud (with PostgresDB)
  3. Install ONLYOffice and community document server in the NextCloud

Is there anyone who successfully runs ONLYOffice on the NextCloud, or I should just give up on the ONLYOffice?

Seems the Community document server is not working with latest Nextcloud, but you are did not state what exact version of Nextcloud you are using.

Of course there are. Here are the install docs from onlyoffice, but filling out the support template would be helpful to include some more info and logs.

Hi @Zarina,
You are missing the required support template. Please fill this form out and edit into your post.

This will give us the technical info and logs needed to help you! Thanks.

Thank you, Just. You just confirmed that NC27.13 does not work with document server_community. Does creating a Doc Space at ONLYOffice and connecting ONLYOffice on the NextCloud to that server make any sense? The entire idea of hosting NextCloud is to ensure privacy. Hosting files at ONLYOffice Docs Space defeats the purpose. I might end up just be storing files in the NC and edit them locally.

I don’t personally use OnlyOffice, but afaik you should be hosting their server yourself.

Actually, what I found is a single person reported that app was not working for them on 27.1.3 but it includes no further details or logs to confirm anything.

I also see a new version of the nc connector app has not been released since nc25, so that would be a point of concern. Often such apps can be used on newer versions, but I’m also not personally using it. I would ask for clarification from onlyoffice directly: https://forum.onlyoffice.com/

Probably also worth confirming if this fix works for you from the readme:

If autoconfiguration fails for any reason, you may manually enter the url. Log in as the admin and go to Settings > ONLYOFFICE. For the ONLYOFFICE Docs address, enter the value in the format of https://<nextcloud_server>/apps/documentserver_community/.

You’ll also want to review your logs and such as mentioned in the linked support template above.

Thank you, Just. I played with the

Settings > ONLYOFFICE. For the ONLYOFFICE Docs address, enter the value in the format of https://<nextcloud_server>/apps/documentserver_community/ .

for several hours last night. I even edited the config.php file as per recommendation from https://youtu.be/2yjewyEzPgQ?feature=shared

No success so far.

Ok, then take this to their forum and link this post there. No doubt they should have more insight on status of their integration.

@Zarina As has already been said before, the better way to have onlyoffice server working is to install the official server. Installation Guides - Docs Community Edition - ONLYOFFICE

Use the app from nextcloud appstore only for tests because it is unstable…
