It’s not my intention to dogpile here, rather just take the opportunity to show that there are other Mac users as well.
I just finished converting our company to nextcloud and while the windows client appears to be rock solid so far, we are having endless issues with the macOS VFS client. I look forward to any updates that may address the sync issues. On my own personal machine, I am having to reset the virtual files environment several times a week. It will seemingly work as intended after the reset, but after a day or two, it will fall out of sync with the server, and I haven’t found any other solution so far other than to (at a minimum) press the reset button and then relaunch nextcloud. Thankfully, I have had no reports of issues with the windows clients, and we have more windows users than Mac.
Ditto, I moved my client, a small NGO from Office365 to Nexcloud late last year and have had the same endless issues with the MacOS VFS client. Folders not picking up changes and being out of step from the server. No way to force a refresh from the server so one resorts to unlinking and relinking the account. God forbid you update the app from an admin user while another user is sill logged in…

If you continue experiencing problems, check out the bug tracker. Especially if you can reproduce the errors, make sure this is properly reported back to the developers so they are aware and can address this issue.
