Hi,
I’m used to using Google Drive and a really nice feature is having all your files (jpg) being OCR’ed in the background without actually changing the files.
If I have a JPG with the word Decathlon on it somewhere, I can just search in Google Drive for Decathlon and it’ll find it. Is this possible in Nextcloud without actually changing any files?

The feature doesn’t exist currently, however there are certainly open source OCR applications. The main thing that’s still needed is for someone to write a Nextcloud app that connects Nextcloud to the locally (on the server) installed app. I’d love to see this feature, too, so I’d encourage you to file a new feature request issue over at https://github.com/nextcloud/apps / https://github.com/nextcloud/server )
