Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 28.0.4 (Docker Nextcloud All-in-One), for a home use.

The issue you are facing:
If I created an event in the Calendar (v.4.6.7) via Nextcloud - web, the attendees do receive an email notification. Also for updates or deleting.
If I created an event in a third party app (in my case I use Simple Calendar Pro from Simplemobiletools.com, via Caldav) with my Nextcloud’s user, email notification doesn’t work. However, if I update or delete the event in my phone, attendees receive a notification by email.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Yes. I have an older version of Nextcloud (¿25?) and it works properly. After a complete new instalation, the problem.

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Install Docker Nextcloud-aio
  2. Install Calendar, Notifications and “Notifications for Calendar” apps.
  3. Install a calendar for mobilephone and a syncing app (DAVx5) and create a new event in calendar

Excuse me.
A silly mater. The problem is not on Nextcloud but on the mobile app.
I’ve tried some mobile calendar clients and emails are sent correctly.
Solved.
