Not all contacts synchronize with iOS

Hello,
I am only seeing 144 out of 197 contacts getting synchronized from NextCloud to my iOS device (73%).

This seems to be a re-occurring topic over the years. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to identify a workaround for me. E.g. exporting the contacts from NextCloud as vcf and re-importing did not resolve the issue.
The original data NextCloud was created from an Google Contacts export.

Checking the contacts, which are NOT syncing to iOS, I recognize that all affected contacts have an address information.
Of course, these are some the most important contacts for me. Therefore, I am looking for a solution.

Any suggestions welcome.

Setup: Nextcloud Hub 10 v31.0.2 (hosted)
iOS: 18.4.1

After my post, I recognized that I have a non-scalable workaround for my issue:

  • As mentioned, the issue is only affecting contacts with address information
  • when I delete the address in NextCloud and re-create it, the contacts will synchronize fine (automatically after the update)
  • just updating the address information does not seem to resolve the issue

In my scenario, WhatsApp is helpful to identify my most important contacts with address information, which are not synchronizing.

If someone would have an idea on how to copy, delete, recreate address information at scale, that could be the solution.
