The issue you are facing:
From several days, maybe a month, files changed on my laptop are no more synced on the server.
- I receive changes on my laptop from the server.
- Changes made on my phone (synced with FolderSync) are propagated.
- Calendars and address books are synced with the laptop, the phone.
- A nested directory made on the laptop is created also on the server.
- A (markdown) file created on the laptop is not created on the server.
The desktop app is the version : Nextcloud-3.8.2-x86_64.AppImage
But the parameter window says : Version 3.4.2 (Ubuntu).
I have emptied the oc_file_locks table several times.
What is wrong ?

With the different versions in the interface and what you installed, that looks strange. You don’t have installed two in parallel by accident, both run?
For troubleshooting, the logs are interesting, e.g. if it detects the new file and tries to upload it (and perhaps fails for some reason), or if it doesn’t detect it.

You are right !
I have uninstalled nextcloud-decktop 3.4.2 from apt and everything seems running again.
Maybe it needs some more tests.
But I’ve lost the French translation.
Why is there not apt upgrade of nextcloud-desktop package on lauchpad? I don’t like too much appimage, snap and others. Why not using the simplest way for the user ?

The nextcloud package has dependencies on other components. These versions differ from distribution to distribution, therefore they prefer to ship bundle that contains all the dependent packages.
If you just want to access data and don’t need a fancy client or specific functions, you can also mount your Nextlcoud storage via webdav into your file system.
