No contact group on Thunderbird 102

Hello,

No group feature on Thunderbird 102.

On Nextcloud web interface, I can create group, I can assign a group to a contact, but after sync, I open Thunderbird and all contact are displayed without group affectation. (only on thunderbird of course)

Is there a standard that’s not repected by Nextcloud or Thunderbird ?

There’s two ways to sync contact address books, as described by DAVx⁵ here. The Nextcloud Contacts app (not the server part) only supports « contacts are per-contact CATEGORIES » (see GROUP vcard support [$10] · Issue #609 · nextcloud/contacts · GitHub).

In any case, looks like Thunderbird itself supports none of the two out of the box. It’s possible using the TbSync addon may work around it.
