NextcloudPi on a Rock64

I installed Armbian image and used the curl installer you provided me on a different sd card and a different Rock64 board and now have a working NextCloud image.

I will update this after further testing to report what the issue was. Although I suspect it to be the sd card.

great! that’s good news!

I mean, sorry about your card, but makes me feel relieved ;D

Maybe even the NCP rock64 image will boot? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@nachoparker, Just reinstalled my Rock64 with your prebuilt NCP image. Worked great! Activated the new NCP image and logged in. Doing all my configurations now and adding an external USB hard disk.

Thanks for all your hard work!

awesome! thanks for the support and feedback!

Question on the Rock64 image. I see that you’ve put up the NCP splash screen at boot time. I tried to go into Arabian-Config and modify the welcome screen to add the “default” items. Looks like you’ve modified armbian-config and removed the defaults. Is it possible to put that option back in a future version? I like seeing the welcome screen info when I ssh into the box.

Thanks!

great, good job

sorry @nachoparker, but seems that service apache does not automatically run. I have rebooted rock64 and service remain down

here log of apache:

https://pastebin.com/g3SEueM3

executing manually the service, apache comes up:

root@rock64:/var/log/apache2# sudo systemctl restart apache2

root@rock64:/var/log/apache2# ps -ef | grep apache
root 2661 1 0 11:18 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start

if it’s enabled it should run at startup. What is the output right after reboot of

systemctl status apache2

here you have the output after reboot rock64:

I see what the problem is. Please, update to v0.56.7 and verify that it works after reboot

update done and rebooted:

root@rock64:/var/log/apache2# sudo ncp-update

Downloading updates

Performing updates

Installing nc-backup

Installing nc-restore

NextCloudPlus updated to version v0.56.7

root@rock64:/var/log/apache2#
root@rock64:/var/log/apache2# shutdown -r now

and now seems that apache works after reload OS:

root@rock64:~# ps -ef | grep apache
root 1029 1 0 13:45 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start
www-data 1091 1029 0 13:45 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start

root 2261 2236 0 13:46 pts/0 00:00:00 grep apache
