Nextcloud VM startup behavior

Hi, I’ve recently noticed a change in startup behavior of my Nextcloud VM. Instead of booting into the command line it now goes to the Ubuntu GUI. I have not made any changes to the install and I’ve not found any info or feedback about this online.

Could this be a normal change, caused by an update of VM itself? I know the Nextcloud versions are on auto update, but is the VM updating itself to the latest release as well?

In the ubuntu GUI I can see a short list of app, but several of them are not working (e.g. the terminal)

Hi,

There are no GUI installed whatsoever in the VM. If you have it now, someone must have installed it manually.

Maybe not much help, but those are the facts.

I’m afraid it’s not possible to check history either as that’s remove upon every login for security.
