Summary of the issue you are facing:
I am running Nextcloud in kubernetes in my home lab using the official helm chart. Everything works fine, except the nextcloud-aio-notify-push deployment sometimes fails to connect to nextcloud. I found out that when this happens, I cannot netcat port 9001 on nextcloud-aio-nextcloud deployment, not even from nextcloud-aio-nextcloud pod itself. Netcat on port 9000 works fine. The command nc -z 127.0.0.1 9001 times out, but command nc -z 127.0.0.1 9000 works fine. Ping and DNS works fine so it does not seem like a network issue.
When this issue happens, the nextcloud web interface itself seems to work fine, but Talk throws connection errors and sometimes it fails to start calls.
After nextcloud-aio-nextcloud deployment restart everything works fine again. But the issue reappears after few days or weeks seemingly randomly.
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):
- Install Nextcloud on kubernetes using the official helm chart
- Let it run for a while (whole system works fine)
- After few days or weeks seemingly randomly nextcloud-aio-nextcloud stops responding on port 9001
- nextcloud-aio-notify-push logs error:
Waiting for Nextcloud to start...while other services seem fine - Restart nextcloud-aio-nextcloud deployment and everything starts working again
Log entries

Please provide the log entries from your Nextcloud log that are generated during the time of problem (via the Copy raw option from Administration settings->Logging screen or from your nextcloud.log located in your data directory). Feel free to use a pastebin/gist service if necessary.
Unfortunately I don’t have logs for the time period when the issue appears. Since it appears randomly I usually don’t catch it before logrotate removes the relevant logs. Will update when the issue appears again and I catch the logs.
