Nextcloud setup problem

newbie, trying to setup nextcloud on raspi all problems start with nextcloud, many tutorials that fail to succeed, currently try to follow nextcloud instructions and lost at this :[enter image description here][1]

what are they asking me to put in place of “directory”?

If I’m understanding you correctly you need to replace /var/www/nextcloud with the path you have installed to.

For example, if the path is /var/www/html/nextcloud you’d need to change the default to that.

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood though.

2 things:

  1. if you’d search the forum before posting you’d maybe find answers to your question
  2. using a raspi is tempting. even more so for beginners. so i’d really strongly recommend you to use ncp from ownyourbits.com. it’s official and pretty well maintained. AND its made for beginners.
