Nextcloud randomly logs out in browsers

Just to chime in and say I’m having random logging out issues again since updating to 28.0.5. I have not re-enabled preloading in Chrome.

I’m also having random logouts, even during using the Nextcloud I’m randlomly logged out. Nextcloud v 29.0.0. I wasn’t able to fix this issue with any mentioned config.php tweaks.

Thank you, seems the issue with logouts has been fixed.

I’m having the same issue with 28.0.5.
What’s the best way to fix this in a production environment?
How can I upgrade to 28.0.6rc1? Or can I downgrade to 28.0.4 safely?

I‘d suggest to just wait for Thursday, that’s when 28.0.6 is planned: Maintenance and Release Schedule · nextcloud/server Wiki · GitHub

Otherwise you can switch to beta channel and get the rc or just apply the PR manually: Patching Nextcloud — Nextcloud latest Administration Manual latest documentation

28.0.6 released some while ago and fixed this (for me, as the manual patch before did).

I’ve actually yet to solve this problem. It’s still occurring for me as of Nextcloud 29.0.3. I’ve just been living with it for all this time. Interestingly, since then Nextcloud has reported a “temporary error” when I try logging in after it happens. When I enter the same login credentials again, I get logged in, but I am logged out again with times between varying wildly. I’ve had it happen multiple weeks apart, and I’ve had it happen mere minutes apart. Still looking for a solution to this.

Jumping in as I have been affected by a quite similar issue, and the issue persists with 29.0.6. Tried to log in "user" but could not verify token · Issue #37492 · nextcloud/server · GitHub may be related.

I have no more problems since I moved my config to Nextcloud AIO.
