NextCloud Plesk Setup

Nextcloud version (eg, 29.0.5): 30.0.0
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 24.04): Ubuntu 22.0
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache
PHP version (eg, 8.3): 8.3

The issue you are facing:

Using Plesk to setup Nextcloud 30.0 and it’s not as easy as having my other VPS for Nextcloud.

When I create a user, other than Admin I’m getting an error message when trying to open ‘Files’ and ‘Photos’, it looks like permission error but the permissions seem correct for a Plesk setup.

Technical details

  • Remote Address: 86.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
  • Request ID: Zv_gI4QZudkB-9swR3KhXwAAAAg

Wondered if anyone had seen this before in the Plesk setup of Nextcloud.

Many Thanks,
Stefan.

An “Internal Server Error” can be raised in many situations. Have you checked the nextcloud.log and/or PHP error logs already? Otherwise it’s poking in the fog

Hi, thanks for the advice. I found the error, it was a REDIS server exception.

I had installed the php module into the Plesk server, but didn’t install the actual Redis server via SSH (thought Plesk had installed it already). It kept preventing the files/photos folders from working.

Hope this helps someone else. :grinning:
