I wanted to check and discuss with community here, hopefully get some ideas & maybe inspiration etc.
is anyone offering Nextcloud as a alternative to Google Workspace and MSFT Office 365 ? Of course coupling it with some kind of email solution as well (that’s another story and can be different of course).
Specifically I wanted to get some feedback on what sort of pricing you see works for SMB market? These could be smaller end companies (less than 100 users) and paying monthly not per annum.
Such offering will of course go head on against Google and MSFT.
They seem to generally have 10-20-30 bucks per user per month different tiers of their plans (if we simplify - of course in M$FT world there are like 50 different SKUs…).
If you are doing it - are you modelling similar kind of plans using Nextcloud & Talk?
Or are you adding extra support & service on top of it - and then pricing is structured differently?

As told by @wwe each hoster/provider has different options and ways to handle things
But some keypoints (I speak as an hoster/provider myself of Nextcloud hosting)
→ check the hoster uses standard Nextcloud versions
→ check you have well admin access at Nextcloud
→ You need to have access also (usually through FTP) at data directory
→ of course a proper backup system (3-2-1 rules)
→ be sure the hoster offers advanced hosting options like Talk, Whiteboard if you need them

definitely must be backed up and admin access available + update-able (either by web host or at least yourself)
how it fares cost wise versus Big Tech is what I am trying to verify now, however more and more I think maybe it should not be necessarily same/cheaper than them
For admin access it depends of your expertise with NC. I have some customers that don’t have access at admin account in NC to prevent any damages and we handle updates and everything for them. Other customers have admin access but then if they break it it’s their responsability.
Price is not the important here, the important is privacy of your data and keep control on it and uses standard and open formats. If you don’t care about all these points, just use a GAFAM as it’ll be always cheaper and “easier” as product is you and your data
