Nextcloud Office Rebranding

Hi. I would like to ask if it is possible for the toolbar logo to be rebranded.

why not trying this solution?

Yup, already did this. But the icon is still the original nextcloud’s icon.

COOLWSD version: 24.04.11.2(git hash: b6712dc6c4 (E))
LOKit version: Collabora Office 24.04.11.2(git hash: 4b94690)
Served by: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Server ID: 1d1f70a0
WOPI host: nextcloud 30.0.5.1 - richdocuments 8.5.3

As a sanity check, are there other options, that you already tried but only will tell us about after we suggest you could try option xyz?

Rant

I’m sure JimmyKater spent at least 5 minutes searching for options and checking it against your NC version before writing his/her post. It had taken you 5 seconds to write “I already used the Collabora-method for custom logos in iight mode (link)”

I can only advise against logo branding. Firstly, Microsoft 365 doesn’t have this either and it also leads to manual effort with every upgrade. What do you mean by that? Do you also change the logo of Firefox, Chrome or Microsoft Edge? Or why not? Because you can’t do it there? You could with Firefox.

Yeah. I hope you understand that I tried so hard to find a way to change the logo myself. Even unpacking AppImage then packing it again but there was no luck.

Do not base someones abilities just because it took them more or less than 5 seconds to reply back with something he/she already tried before asking the community.

I did in no way intend to underestimate your abilities, sorry if it came across like that.

What I do hint at, is that you probably already spent time trying to change the logo yourself.

Now you ask community members to spend their free time to help you solve your problem, and for the first person that takes the time to help you out in his spare time, you answer: “Yes, sorry for spilling your time, but that one I already tried of course”

It takes you some extra trouble to show what mention what you already tried, and doing so, you not only save people’s time, you also save yourself from receiving useless answers.

Don’t get me wrong: people hang around here because they want to spend their time volunteering to help others out, but it is not motivating to then find out that you only replicate steps that someone (secretly) already took.

Edit to add: I just saw you’re new to the forums. I did not intend to sound harsh

Welcome!

I’ve had another look. Maybe it is possible to change the logo simply via theming.
<div class="logo logo-icon"></div>

Nextcloud theming
/index.php/settings/admin/theming

But it seems that it doesn’t always work. But it works for me with Build-in CODE server.

Can you use browser dev tools (F12) and find the logo in the html source?
